Rules of Administration
Preamble
The following Rules of Administration shall govern the the CollegePlus Groups. These Rules shall be updated and maintained by the Lead Moderator as Group precedents are established or as circumstances dictate necessary or prudent.
Article 1 - Office Holder Resignation
Section 1 - The Resignation of a Group's President
Section 2 - The Resignation of a Group Office Holder Besides a Group's President
- If a Group's President desires to resign, the President shall notify the Lead Moderator of the President's intentions and the President shall post an announcement regarding the President's resignation in his/her respective Group's "Announcements" forum.
- Provided the Vice President meets the qualifications, the Vice President shall have the option of assuming the office of President.
- If the Vice President shall elect not to serve as President but remain in the role of Vice President, or if the Vice President does not meet the necessary qualifications to become President, the remaining Group officers shall appoint a committee of at least 3 non-officer members to run an election for a new President.
- If a qualified Vice President shall elect to serve, the Vice President shall become President and appoint a qualified successor to the office of Vice President.
- The resigning President's duties shall cease and the new President's duties commence once the new President has been instated.
Section 2 - The Resignation of a Group Office Holder Besides a Group's President
- In the case of the resignation of a Group office holder besides a Group's President, the resigning officer shall inform his/her Group's President of the office holder's intentions to resign.
- The President of the resigning office holder's Group shall appoint another qualified individual to the empty post, notifying the Lead Moderator of the new appointment so that records of each Group's officers can be kept current.
- The previous office holder's duties shall cease and the new office holder's duties commence upon the appointment of the new office holder.
Article 2 - CP Group Size
- At the beginning of a year, each CP Group may have up to 15 members. A Group needs at least 7 members to be formed. Groups having fewer than 7 members will not be formed, and its members will have the option of joining other open Groups.
- For every enrollment date after the beginning of the year, one slot will be added to each Group.
- At the end of the year, the Groups will revert to 15 members maximum. Membership in one's current Group for the following year will be awarded based on seniority.
Article 3 - Joining a CP Group
- A link to a signup sheet will be posted in the Announcements & News section of the CP Forums according to the following schedule: January, March, June, September.
- CP Forums users may sign up for any CP Group having fewer than the current maximum number of members. New members will be given access to their Group by the end of the sign up month at the latest.
- If necessary, a new Group may be formed in January (and only January) if there aren't enough available slots in other Groups to meet demand.
Article 4 - Leaving a CP Group
- Group members may leave their Group at any time by sending a PM to the Lead Moderator and their president expressing their desire to leave.
- If a Group member leaves, he/she may only rejoin his/her original CP Group and only according to the schedule given under Article 3 above.
