Group Creative Finale!
Details
Runs: Monday October 13 to Friday November 7
Overview: Each group will work on one submission that will include a variety of creative work from their members. This submission will illustrate the group's Namesake and Themes. Students must work with one another in their group to plan who will contribute what parts to create the overall submission (like a Science Fair Project). See below for a description of the different types of creative work accepted in this challenge. Judging: Bryan and Nikki will partner with others (CP Staff, Esther, and outside CP Creatives) to judge the submissions. There will be 1 overall group winner who will earn points according to the scoring rules. There will also be some bonus categories that will be awarded to the highest rated worth 50 points each: 5 for Quality Best A/V Presentation Best Artwork Best Photography Best Written Submission Best Poster/Comic 3 for Impact Funniest Submission Most Inspirational JAW-DROPPING |

How It Works
Descriptions: Here are the 5 different types of create works that are a part of the challenge:
NOTE: Groups don't have to submit all 5 types of creative work. However, because each group will be judged in part on the variety of their work it is important to provide at least more than 1 type.
Computer Editing: The poster, video, and song can be computer assisted (meaning, you can edit those in any way you like, unlike the hand drawn/painted artwork or somewhat edited artwork).
Group Submission Editing: While having a variety of creative work is required, the work turned in needs to be the concise (i.e. having 35 pictures in this challenge won't help :-). The best and the not-so-best elements of any overall submission will be taken into account for judging. Therefore, establishing a group editor or two who will give feedback to their members will be helpful.
Submission: Groups will collect their creative work and post links to them on a Google Spreedsheet that the group Spirit Leader will create. The creative work can be hosted on Carbonmade, Google Drive, YouTube or any other option that is convenient to use. Make sure to include the name of the creative work and the name of the individual who made that part of the submission.
The link to this spreadsheet should be submitted to [email protected] by the final day of the competition (Nov. 7).
Descriptions: Here are the 5 different types of create works that are a part of the challenge:
- Audio/Visual Presentations - This can be a video or song that illustrates the Namesake, the Themes or both.
- Artwork - This will need to be a hand-drawn or hand-painted submission. No words can be on the artwork itself.
- Photography - Same as Picture Perfect challenge rules. Limited edited is allowed (see Picture Perfect rules).
- Written Submission - This can be an essay or story.
- Poster - This is a combination of art/photography and text (think motivational cat poster). It doesn't have to be physically printed. The poster can be anything from something that looks like a movie preview poster, a motivational poster, an ad or even a meme (like the cat poster link). The main way to define the poster is that it has text combined with artwork/photography.
